Garden at Night

In a darkened garden, points of gold glimmer — perhaps fireflies, perhaps dew under the moon. Lacquer lets Le Minh hide gold in the depth of black, so the viewer must step closer to see it all.

This is a work that rewards patience: the longer you look, the more reveals itself. A reminder that the most precious things rarely show themselves at once, but wait for us to be still enough to notice.
